Just thought I would share the good news...

well, at least it is to me. I was Saved at Church Christmas Eve. All that's left for me to do is baptism.

A little backstory, I was baptised Catholic when I was 13yrs old. Once I got married and had a baby on the way I realized how out of place I felt when I went to church. Sort of when you go to a party and know no one. I didn't go to church for awhile after that. Then my MIL started taking my son to the Christian church that my grandfather took me and my sister too when we were little. I started going but you know that same feeling followed me there. That and Christian really got to where he didn't want to go at all. I'm on the mindset that if it doesn't happen very often then I'm fine with him skipping it. This started happening almost every Sunday and on the days I did get him to go he would start crying and fussing throughout the service so I was forced to leave.

A couple of months ago my best friend Jeff was baptised at the local baptist church here in town. I went as support and I was very proud of him. I liked it so much that I took Christian and Caitlyn with me the next Sunday. Christian really liked it. A lot of his friends from school are in his sunday school class and there is a Children's Church where they call the kids up and they go off to do their own thing. Which I love. He doesn't have to sit there throughout the whole sermon listening to words he doesn't understand. The feeling I get here has been peace and inclusion. So I have taken the plunge and started the steps needed to be a full memeber of this church.

So it looks like I'm going to get baptised again. I'm so very happy about this. I would like to thank Jeff for giving me a reason to visit this church in the first place. If it weren't for him I probably wouldn't be at a church at all right now. :)

God Bless! :)

Well, Damn, it's over.....

I hope Christmas was great for everybody. I'm very happy it's over but very sad at the same time. :( It's my fav Holiday so that's probably it.

Jeremy is back to work....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! He's out of my hair. I know that's mean but he's been in my hair for 3 months and has now spent 2 weeks back at work. :) Peace for me.

I've got some pics uploaded onto a slide that I hope you enjoy.

My mom and dad got me a Epson Stylus Photo RX580 printer. Can't wait to learn how to use it. hehehe It's got so many settings and buttons that I'm scared I'll break it. :) She also got me an Alphabet Punch Set. I've never used one before. Should be fun. :) So if I can get my printer to work then I can start Scrapbooking again. :) Yay! :)

Well, got to go. Cleaning, ugh, I hate this part of being home. hehehe

Good day to all! :)

It let me back in! :)

I couldn't get in for a couple of days. Something about disabled cookies, oh well they must be enabled now. ;)

**Warning: Vent ahead!!!**

I've had strep throat since Monday before last. I'm getting over it now with antibiotics but damn when am I going to catch a break here? No, seriously I really would like to know. I really wish I could go into the nitty gritty details but things are not good here. Jeremy has been off work since Sept and is still not able to pick up Caitlyn. Does anyone know how awful that feeling is? It breaks my heart that she reaches up to him and says "Daddy" and he can't pick her up. Then I have to hold her for a second to make her feel better or put her in daddy's lap.

I will tell you guys one thing, workman's comp is a flippin joke!! That's all I'm going to say about them.

I just want him fixed to the way he was before the injury. I know that he'll never be 100% the same but he should be able to pick up a gallon of milk without pain shooting through his knee! I'm going to get myself in trouble so I'm going to stop here!

**End Vent**

In other news, my Christmas decorations are almost done! Yay! I just need to fix some lights and get another extension cord. Then I'll pick my mess up and take some pics to put on here.

My son will turn 6 this weekend! He is getting soooooo big! :) I'm proud of my little man! He is still reading the AR books one right after the other! I've been slacking this year and just now got his birthday presents wrapped. One plus side about having him in Dec, his birthday presents get to go under the tree. He loves that! I think I'm going to wait and see how his little sister does. I don't think she'll do to great with it. Hopefully she'll prove me wrong!

I guess I got some things off my chest and I can finally get some sleep. All 3 hrs of it. Oh well, I can't turn off tonight at all!

Hope you all have a great weekend! :)

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was wonderful!

We almost got by without an accident on Turkey Day. It seems that anywhere that I take my kids one of them gets bloodied up. A few weeks ago we were at a House Warming Party and Christian fell off the stairs and bloodied his nose. Well on Turkey Day Caitlyn fell out of a chair and I guess bit her tongue and that sucker bled off and on all day. When we showed up to our second stop her face was bloody cause she kept putting her fingers in her mouth. Yuck! She's ok but it was still so gross.

Carrie, thanks for the comments. I got her costume at a Costume shop in Indiana. The Nick Nackery. Pretty cool place!

Here's some pics of our Turkery day...not many but a couple.
Caitlyn and her favorite animal. She loves all animals but she seems to have a sweet spot for cats. :)

Christian riding down the hill. Only one I've got of just him.Okay, don't call services on me or anything. My grandmother takes in kittens. The really small kittens she puts in cages. The gate is left open during the day but closed at night so predators don't get them. Caitlyn saw the kittens in the cage and decided to crawl in there to get one of the kittens.

My living room is a mess right now with boxes and such preparing to get the Christmas tree up and other decorations. I love decorating for Christmas. It's my absolute favorite holiday. I love it so much that Jeremy has banned me from buying anymore stuff for it. What he doesn't know is that on Black Friday I came across a bell for the door at JoAnn's and bought it. :) I successfully passed it off as something that I'd bought last year. :) Anyway, I will take pics of all our decorations once I get them all up. The 9 1/2ft tall tree is what I'm dreading to do tomorrow, but I absolutely love it! :)

Leaves and Party time! :)

On our last warm day we let the kids outside to play in the leaves. I have a pic of Christian but he's wearing a shirt with his school name on it so I'm not putting it up. I have one of Caitlyn that I thought was pretty good.

MY LITTLE DEVIL IS TWO!!!!!! :)

Here's a pic of the cake. Here she is with her ice cream. Daddy didn't get a pic of her eating the cake. :( Gift time. :) This time of the party was her favorite! heheShe would go get a present then come back and sit in my lap. And just like a typical kid, wants to play with it. :)Sort of a tradition after the presents are open. Kind of got started a couple of years ago. The kids seem to really enjoy being able to dive into the paper and throw it in the air. They just don't like the pick up part. hehe

She had a really good time. Well, everyone did. :) I have a couple more pics I want to show but they're too big for blogger. :( I can't get them to resize at all. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'll have to play with it for a little bit I guess. I think when Christian's birthday comes up that mommy will be the one taking the pictures. I can tell you that. hehehe

Got to get off here and get stuff cleaned up. Have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving!!! :)

I'm back....well, I don't really know for how long.

So much has happened while I've not posted. So sorry about that! We've had Halloween and my little girl turned 2 last Sat. She's growing up so fast. Jeremy is still off work and still in pain. :( We have to go see another specialist next week to find out how to fix it. This has really been a pain in the ass for all people involved.

Anyway, I'll try to get to the pics. :)

Annual Halloween Hayride....Christian
Caitlyn's first Halloween Hayride. She didn't like the hayride and had a horrible rash from the hay but she loves her brother. :)
One of our pumpkins we carved. Halloween was getting closer!! :)My little Superman. :) We tried to spray his hair black. He kept saying he wanted his red hair back. hehe Here's my little devilette. In this one you can see her 'tail' better. She was so cute! :)
I have more pics of the kiddos. I'm going to post this one and start a new one for playing in the leaves and Caitlyn's party. :)

Sorry for the delay in getting back.

He is doing so much better now. Thanks Carrie and sorry I didn't get back sooner. I've been busy with him. Haven't got online much since. Trying to take care of him. Anyway, no more excuses.

He is now getting up on his own and Monday he was able to get fully dressed. So it is getting better now! :)

I'm so ready for him to go back to work though. Hahaha, that's bad isn't it? He is finally getting out of the house though. Right now he took Christian fishing. So we'll see how he feels after he gets home. Said the incision was hurting a little after he got back from the school. Hopefully it doesn't bother him.

Not to much more to report than that. We go back to the doc for a follow up on the 16th.

Oh and one more thing please help me keep my sanity next week. The kids are out of school all week for fall break!! haha

Today was the big day...

He had surgery today. Everything went great although they had to put mesh in there. He is in a helluva lot of pain and from what I'm told it's only going to get worse. :(

Today was just an exhausting day for everyone. We got to the hospital at 8:30am and they took him for surgery around 20 after 10. So we got to wait in the waiting room till 20 till 12 when the doctor came and told me that he was ok and in recovery. That was when we got to go outside to warm up. I'm telling you, like you don't already know, that these places are sooooooo cold! Sat there and froze the entire time.

I am happy to report that he is doing good so far, just in a lot of pain. Well, I'm not happy to report the pain but I guess that comes with it huh?

Anyway, thanks for the support, encouragement, and kind words! They are truly appreciated!

Went to the doctor yesterday and..

no surgery for today. :( Workman's comp was dragging their feet so no approval. We do have the approval now so hopefully the surgery will be on Tuesday. He is back to work for now on real light duty. No excessive walking, lifting, or bending. Basically what he is, is a computer man.

Thanks for the prayers! I'll need them again on Tuesday please!

Monday, September 18, 2006

Good news...well, kinda...

Jeremy's work said that he can do light duty and as soon as he could get back to come in. He'll probably being a watching a computer screen. At least he won't be off till Dec 20!

When it rains, it pours...

I have one dramatic life! I swear I do. If it's not one thing it's another but hey aren't most people's?

Well, Jeremy spent the night in the hospital last night. He hurt himself at work. He has a hernia in the groin area. We have to see a surgeon on Wed. and then he'll be going in for surgery on Thursday. Shouldn't be bad. He should be able to come home Thursday afternoon. Depends on what they find when they get into surgery.

He is supposed to stay off it till then. We'll see how long he'll last. He's going to off work 2 to 8 weeks depending on whether or not work will allow him to do light duty. Stuff like sitting watching a screen, filing, answering phones, etc. He is not supposed to lift anything heavier than a styrofoam cup. Our daughter is NOT going to like that one. If he goes fishing (which he says he can) he will sit in a lawn chair but I'll have to drive him because of the meds he is on for pain.

Please say a little prayer that he will be a quick and easy surgery and that he can go back to work as soon as possible. 8 weeks puts us too close to Christmas. Thanks for any thoughts, prayers, etc. that you can spare!! :)

P.S. I am feeling a lot better now. Still having a little trouble breathing but nothing I can't handle. :)

Who knew breathing would become so hard?

For the last few days I've been down. Breathing was becoming extremely difficult, to the point that my chest and back was hurting with every breath I took. Well, I thought I could wait until Monday to call the doctor but no. I woke up Sat and was afraid that I would have to go to the ER sometime over the weekend if I didn't get it looked at. Well, I went to a clinic that runs after hours but it's not ER. My mom even had to drive me. I didn't have the energy to even drive the 10 mins to her house much less the 30 mins it took to get to the clinic.

He checked me over and told me I had two options. One, try antibiotics and steroids or two be put in the hospital. I can't be in the hospital so I chose to try antibiotics. Well turns out I have bronchitis borderline pneumonia. While I was there they gave me a breathing treatment and a steroid shot. I tell you this nurse knew what she was doing. I never even felt the needle go in. I had to check when I got home to see if there was a stick mark. haha The doc wrote me a prescription for antibiotics, steroids, and an inhaler. We are trying this approach to try to keep me out of the hospital. I can't leave my kids long enough to be in the hospital so this just has to work.

There's one more thing I need to call a doc about but I'm not comfortable with posting it for the whole world to read. Carrie, I may email you and ask you if you've ever experienced this before just let me know if I can. :)

I feel a lot better today and am breathing a lot easier today. Still can't do a whole lot but it's getting better. I think that I might try to clean today before I go get my kiddos.

I'm just sad I missed a party last night for a dear friend of ours that got reactivated. His going away party was last night. Jeremy went by himself as I was just too congested and stuff to make it. Doubt he'll ever see this but Good luck Brian and we'll miss you!! :)

He's coming home soon! Yay!!

I hope I don't jinx this. :( My cousin Josh is coming home from Iraq soon! He has been there since Nov of 2005. He is starting to ship some of his things home so it shouldn't be much longer! :) I'm so excited. I've missed him so much!

He said that he wants this huge party when he gets home. One with fireworks and the like. We'll just have to see about all that. lol Tomorrow I'll put a pic of him up but the only one I have of him has someone else in the pic and I don't want to put his face up without blurring it up. :)

BUT HE'S COMING HOME SOON!!!! :)
Edited to add: This is the picture I was talking about. This is my cousin who is coming home. :) Yay!! :)

Sorry these took so long to get posted...

***LOTS OF PICTURES*** Sorry Dial up users.

We came home on Sunday. Talk about tired. Whew. A 9hr drive is tiring even if you weren't the one driving. Oh well, we had a lot of fun!

First night we were there we went to the trailer parade and a girl that was staying in the same house as us got bit in the nose by a dog. It actually took a chunck out of her nose. She is going to need some surgery to correct it. :(

Here's some pictures from our weekend:
This is a pic of my drivers trailer. These were paraded through to the race track.

I'm not a Junior fan but I thought this was a good picture.
This is the inside of the track.
I was very upset with my camara. I couldn't get a clear pic of the race track. This is what that is supposed to be a pic of.
The scoring tree in the middle of the track.

One of the dodge cars. I think it's the #19 but I'm not for sure.

My driver, Bobby Labonte, in the Hamburger Helper car.

A pic of final practice on Friday.

A pic of pit road with the Busch cars lined up for their race.

Opening ceremonies for the Busch race before driver introductions.

Opening ceremonies.

Beginning of Busch race.

Half a lap to go before the green flag dropped for the Busch race.

Infield before Cup race.

Pic of the track before the Cup race.

I think this thing is so cool. It's been there everytime we have and we've been going since 2001. It kind of sounds like a motorcycle when it is running around the track.

A parachuter bringing in the green flag so they could start the Cup race. He did land really close to the finish line. There was another one not long after of the American flag.

During pre-race ceremonies they had the fans across from us hold up signs while everyone was singing "Proud to be an American" (at least I think that's the song) Really cool! :) I love being part of a very patriotic group! Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of the fighter jets that flew overhead or of the fireworks they set off during the "Star Spangled Banner".

Let's race!! :) Very start of the race. Bobby started 3rd. :)

Jeremy's fav driver...#9 of Kasey Khane.

One of the few pics that I could get with both our fav drivers. :)

After Matt Kenseth's win.

My first attempt at photographing fireworks. Haha

All in all it was a great weekend. The place we stayed was awesome. I have pics but since it is a private residence I don't feel comfortable sharing those photos. Hope the weekend was great for you! :)

Got lots of stuff to do today!! :)

We are going to Bristol, TN this weekend for the Nascar Races. :) I have to pack and clean today. We are leaving tomorrow so I won't be around but I'll be back soon! :)

Time to go on one of those vacations that you need a vacation when you get back! haha

I'll post pics when I get back!! :)

First few days of Kindergarten...

Christian had a great time his first day of school last Wedensday! I was so glad he did. I was really proud of myself too. I didn't cry but I did tear up. The good thing is I didn't cry! :) He is such a big boy now. Growing up on me.

He told me that he didn't want me to stay with him when I dropped him off. I told him that I would stay till he told me to leave. We got to the school and when he sat down he whispered...I want you to stay. Yeah I think you should stay. lol So cute. So I stayed and walked with him halfway to his classroom when they dismissed for class. He seemed to enjoy that. :) He is so proud of his smiley faces that he's been getting for behaving. :) So far he has had a smiley face everyday. Of course he will come home with a frowny face. It's just a matter of time. This week they are starting to enforce their rules more so the teacher sent a note home stating to not be surprised if they come home with a frowny face. They're still learning the rules. :)

Here's a few pics I took of him his first day:
