Cuteness and a Ticket...Lots of Pics!

I finally put batteries in my camara. Just had to show off some cute shots of the kiddos.
Christian with his Digital Camara. I love that thing! :)
Miss Curly Sue
I tried to get a pic of her with it all the way on and the blinking red nose but she wouldn't have any of it.
I love her expression in this one.
There's my little man... Princess in her tank...will try to get better ones today or tomorrow. We're trying to get our 75 gal tank ready for her.

I got ticketed by the cutest little red head, Officer Christian. He thinks mommy lost the remote. hehehe
I thought it was cute! I have since got another one. hahaha Love my kids!

I hope everyone's weekend is going great! :) I have to get off here because I'm going to make a Castle Cake for my youngest neice. It's what she wants for her birthday. I can't believe she'll be *5* tomorrow! Wow! :) I take pics of all my cakes so I'll post one when I can! :) Till then... :)!

Phone calls and a Cold...

Yesterday once I told my mom and my grandmother, it didn't take long for the new to get to my aunt who is a breast cancer survivor. She called last night with some words of encouragement. She, along with all of my family, were awesome yesterday. I had so many phone calls that I felt like I was on the phone almost all night. I am so blessed that I have so much family to fall back on. I can't imagine how someone must feel when they don't have this kind of support. My online friends, especially you Carrie have been completely awesome too. I truly wish that someday we could meet. You are a great person with a caring heart and I'm proud to know you, even if it's just on the internet. :)

I have a cold right now. Might have a bit of a fever so that's not making it any better right now. I'll pull through it. Just sucks being sick all the time. The weather this year has been so wonky lately. It's been in the upper 70s to lower 80s all week and today it's 62 degrees. Can't wait till it warms up and stays warm.

I broke down last night. My sister was here with me and just hugged me while I cried and cried. You know, I wasn't upset with what might/might not be wrong with me I was upset with everything. All the hospital and doctor visits I guess have caught up with me. If it's not one thing it's another and I'm trying really hard to just roll with the punches but it's getting harder by the day.

All I can do at this point is just give everything to God and pray for peace.

Updates...

I tried to update with a pic of Princess but it didn't take and I was too tired to try again. Here she is:

Please excuse the messy bed but we jumped out of bed Sat morning and picked her up. She has been so good so far. Hasn't tried to bite yet. Guess what? I held her today! Yay, go me! hahaha I almost flipped out but all is well. ;) I figured my problem was the muscles in the body that were holding on. Today was my first time ever holding a snake. ;) This pic was taken when we got her home Sat. My batteries in my camara died so this is the only shot I could get. At least I got Christian holding her. :)

Update on my doc appt. He seems to think it's just a fibrocyst but wants a second opinion. He gave me the option to get a second opinion from a surgeon or a mammogram. I chose the second opinion, I don't want to get a mam. unless I have to. The second lump I talked about in my last post is gone, completely but this one just will not go away. That breast started to have a dull pain to it about 20 mins after my appt. It's still got a dull pain. It's not too bad though. So, I have an appt with a surgeon next week for a second opinion. I'm a little concerned with it but I haven't flipped out yet. Key word being, YET. hehe The last time I had a lump he told me I was ok. This time he sends me to a surgeon. That's what I keep thinking. What's so different about this one? Only time will tell but I believe either way I'll be alright. I have awesome friends (both online and offline) and family. In good news though my pap came out great! :) I'm still not sure what to think about the lump issue. Good news or bad news. I guess I'll find out next week.

Signed Christian up to play baseball again this year. Well, T ball actually but ah well, he likes it. He's all registered and ready to go. :)

I'm getting off here to get some much needed house work done but I'll update when I can. Happy Tuesday and have a great week! :)

Break? Break? I just KNOW you're out there...

Wow oh wow, I can't believe this. I got a call from the mines yesterday afternoon. Heard the words that every coal miner's wife does not want to hear. "Rockfall" and "Hospital". Jeremy was taken to the hospital yesterday because he was hit by a 3'x 3'x 3" thick piece of slate from the top. He's alright thank goodness just a sprained foot and a sore knee. The story I got from the safety director was that if Jeremy's boss didn't grab him and pull him I would have became a widow yesterday. Jeremy and his boss were working on a miner and they heard a bang like a shotgun had gone off. The next thing they knew was the top was coming down. The only thing they couldn't get out of the way was Jeremy's foot. It's a little bruised on the outside but THANK GOD FOR METAL TORSELS!! If you know anyone that works underground please stress how valuable these are. If Jeremy wasn't wearing boots with them he would have had to had recontructive surgery on his foot. Of course wouldn't you know it's the same side of his hernia. Poor guy can not catch a break. Now we're back to the pain killers.

It's scary to think that I almost lost my husband yesterday, but I really can't let myself think about it to much. It really hasn't sunk in yet. I can't let it or I'll never allow him back into the mines!! Jeremy always told me that it wasn't when you got hurt but it was how bad you got hurt. So far we've been extremely lucky as far as the severity of his accidents. He's still alive! This one could have been so much worse. The whole thing fell in from side to side.

Took him to the doctor today and he put him on light duty and a bunch of restrictions. Jeremy is just itching to get back underground, or at least today he was. Last night, not so much.

**Our break is coming I know it is. It has to. I have an appointment with my doc to check a couple of lumps on my breast. One lump has been there for about 4 months and this other one I just found the other day. They're side by side. I'm going into this appointment thinking that he is going to tell me I'm crazy and healthy. I have to be, I can't handle anything less than a clean bill of health.

**Why can't we catch a break? Even if its just a little one? I'm not asking for much but a longer period of time where I'm not completely stressed about health, safety, or family issues. Is that too much to ask?

**It's after 11pm so I'm going to sleep finally!

Little Updates...

Jeremy is still having problems from his surgery. One of the nerves according to the surgeon was sewed with the mesh or something. He had to have an injection yesterday morning. We'll have to do 2 more before we discuss killing this nerve. Which we DO NOT want. There are serious risks to killing this nerve, one of the biggest being loss of movement of that leg. This is very stressful for me right now and especially for him. If these injections don't work our whole livelihood is at stake. We will have to see.

We watched "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams last night. I thought it was pretty good. I laughed several times throughout the movie. It was a good pick for a rental and eventually we'll probably end up buying it.

Well, got the tank for Princess ready today. All we need is carpet to go in the bottom of it. The carpet that was in there was so awful it had to be changed. She is going to be housed in the 20gal until she gets used to being here with all the noises that goes along with it. Another thing we're doing to help keep her from getting stressed is keeping her in our bedroom. So now I have a tank on my dresser. Next week will be tough for me to sleep I'm afraid. Eventually I'll get better. I'm excited about getting her although still scared of her too. Does that make sense? We figured she'd be better in there till everyone got used to her and she got more used to us. She really doesn't need 4 kids hollering at her or tapping on the glass especially the first few days.

I went to the dentist today and got the stitches taken out. Whew, that's over. No worries though, I get to do the same thing next week. I'm getting 3 on the other side taken out. This sucks. Genetics sucks!! My mom told me that my father had his out by the time he was 30 so I guess that's where I'm getting this from. HIM!! Oh well, I love him so I'll have to forgive him. :) At the very least I'll lose more weight. I'm not going to be able to eat hardly anything at all.

Happy Wedensday!! :)

A Snake....

I can't believe I'm allowing the boys in my house to get a snake but I am. I'm not a real huge fan of them at all and have kind of a fear of them. When Jeremy gave Christian the choice between setting up our salt water tank for fish again or a snake. He picked the snake. Jeremy and I loaded Caitlyn up this morning after I got Christian to school and headed to a pet store. This is the same store that Jeremy got most all his other snakes from. Keep in mind the whole time we have been together he has only had one snake. A Jungle Carpet Python that we named One-Eyed Jack due to him only having one eye from a birth defect. Jeremy and his ex-wife used to breed pythons and boas. No worries of that happening here in my house though. I'm having a tough enough time with just the one snake!

This new one is a Suranan Red Tail Boa. She is a female silver with black and brown markings and a vibrant fire red tail. Jeremy told me she even has silver eyes. I didn't get to see them because Caitlyn wanted to terroize the fish the whole time we were there.

When Christian got in the car from school today, I told him that we picked out his sanke today and have it on hold. He was soooo excited. He was jumping up and down in his seat and hollering. Then he found out that she was a girl. Big time let down to him. Crocodile tears were falling from this child's eyes. I tried explaining to him that they only had females. We went originally looking for a male.

He finally calmed down. I told him that he could name her and the name he picked is Princess. So we are going to have a snake named Princess in our house. What a name for a snake! hahaha When we get her home I'll try to get pics! :)

Hope everyone's St. Patty's day went great!! Unfortunately we couldn't do anything, maybe next year!! :) Have a nice week! :)

Thanks Carrie..

I saw this on your blog. I had to do one for myself too. Pretty cool!

Pics,

You know I was just looking through my photobucket and came across these pics of my kiddos.
Caitlyn 10/7/05: Christian 10/7/05
Caitlyn 4 days old

This was Easter last year:

This is the two of them on the first day of school in August 2006.

It amazes me how much they have seemed to grow up. Ecspecially Caitlyn. She is constantly coming up with new things to do. Just this morning she came and got me and started dancing while holding my hand and holding her skirt up just like Cinderella was doing in Cinderella III. Too cute.

I've got more recent pics that I'll get up soon! I'm thinking maybe I'll pick a pic that I've got in my photobucket account. One that I find amusing or whatever that day. What do you think?

The longest 2 months...

Whew!!! I'm so glad they're over. My family got hit hard with all the sickies running rampant here. At one time I was sick with 4 sick children all with strep throat. Then the latest. The strep came back for my 6yr old. My 2yr old had the full blown flu at the same time. So I have been taking care of them. Lots of cuddles and hugs. Movie time and ice cream.

I had been having horrible mouth pains for a couple of weeks. Finally got into the dentist. Turns out my two pregnancies and the fact that I don't eat nearly enough have ruined some of my teeth. All this besides me being extremely anal about brushing my teeth at 2 times a day. The one thing I won't understand is some people who never brush their teeth have white healthy teeth, I brush like I'm supposed to and they go bad. Oh well, I have to deal with it. I ended up with 5 extractions. I had them taken out last week, I'm still waiting on the appt to get my stitches taken out. I guess we'll discuss then when I can get a partial. I tell you if you thought I didn't eat before you definately think that now. hehehe

To explain the not eating thing. I have finally come to terms that I might be on a one way street to an eating disorder. I know I'm not fully there because I'm still over my ideal weight. When I realized that if it wasn't for my kids I wouldn't be eating anything at all I knew I needed help. My husband has been pretty good about making sure I have something throughout the day. My friends are really good about it too. Thank God for them! :)

I hope you guys have been safe and happy these past couple of months. :) Have a great week! :)

P.S. I'm going to try to put some pics up later. Hopefully I can get around to that! :)
