The time has come...First day of School

All the kids are excited! Lil' Red got into a split class this year. He's teacher is teaching a 1st/2nd grade class. I've heard several reasons for this. 1)They're trying to thin out the 1st grader class, 2) Trying to fill in the last 2nd grade class. There are more but at the moment I can't think of any. Go figure.

Well, anyway thought I would share our pics from this morning:

All three of our students....

Lil' Red the 1st grader

He was so excited this morning but got a little nervous while they were waiting to go to their classrooms. My youngest neice was scared once she got there.

Had our first homework assignment too. He was upset because he couldn't draw an apple to save his life. He was crying and saying that it's not the best. Poor guy. I told him that his teacher was looking for the best or perfect but that he tried his best. Didn't make him feel better. Looks like I have a little perfectionist on my hands. I'm optomistic that he'll be able to keep up. I'm sure that he'll have some 2nd grade work towards the end of the year. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a nice back to school! :)

Finally introducing Dakota:

We've had him about 3 months now I guess but I've just got around to taking pics of him. He's such a ham for the camara till the flash went off. hehehe He is a Spotted Python and just as sweet as Princess is. They are different though. Princess is L-A-Z-Y and Dakota is really active. He's tank is in our room so every once in awhile we'll hear a *thud*. that's him falling off the top of the tank. He likes to try to crawl around the top of the tank in between that and the lid. He's a trooper though so he's tries again.

Here you go Carrie:

These were taken after feeding. I'm hoping to get more.

Right now Princess is shedding. I've just spent an hour with her trying to help her get it off. She is so lazy though. I've got all of it off half her body but it's the bottom half. It's all trying to come off but she won't freakin' move. I swear that when she's full grown I won't ever have to worry about her escaping. She's just to lazy!! **As a disclaimer: She WILL have locks on her tank as soon as she is big enough to get the lid off. Right now she couldn't get it off if she tried. There's no way that when she gets big enough to push that lid up that I'll leave it without locks with kids in the house.

Nothing new going on here though. Finished the final Harry Potter book last week. I've got the 6th one here waiting to be read. I haven't read any of the books but the last one.

Good night all!

It's been awhile..

Sorry about the long time no hear from thing. My world is kind of out of control at the moment.

A couple of weekends ago our town hosted a motorcycle rally. I volunteered and worked with a group at one of the gates. Our job was to take money, give them their bracelet, get them to sign a waiver(my job), and put stickers on any support vehicle that came through the line. You have to be 18+ yrs of age to get into the gates. After our shift Jeff and I walked around through the camp grounds for about an hour. Of course we had to buy a bracelet to get in. Jeff asked if I wanted to come back that night after his other shift. Jeremy was busy with the fire department, so told me to go ahead and go. I got a sitter for baby girl and met up with Jeff and a few others.

I had a good time there. Some people here locally are against the rally. They say the people that go have bad morals. This is a very limited number of people. Mostly people get aggravated with all the bikes. Our little town of about 2000 people grows to almost 20-30,000 people for 4 days. This year it seemed that attendance was low though. Much easier than past years to get onto the main road. This rally is for charity. I'm pretty sure that all proceeds from bracelets and other stuff goes to different local charities and programs. Although, I'll admit I don't know all the details, I still think it's a great thing for our community.

One other reason for my bad blogging behaviour is a website called king.com. I'm addicted to these games. It's totally free. There is an updated membership that costs something but I'm more than happy to play for free. :)

Congrats again, Carrie, for the baby girl! I sent an email stating that but not sure if you received it. I also love her name! :)

My cousin Stephanie is also pregnant! I'm excited for her.

Jeremy's cousin is pregnant too from what I'm hearing.

All you gals have a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby! :)

We have had revival at church all this week. Been pretty good. The visiting preacher had powerful messages every night. The only night I missed was Tuesday.

I guess that's all I got right now. Oh, school starts next week!! :) Wish 'em luck!
