5th Birthday Party

Well, Baby Girl had her 5th birthday party last week, which was a success! :-) She was soooo excited and would barely play with her guests because she wanted to stay with her cake. Made me feel great since I made and decorated her cake! :-) I love how it turned out since it was simple and subtle.

I'm glad it's over but then again I'm not. She's my baby and my baby is now *5*! She will be starting Kindergarten next year. She's growing up with no way for me to slow it down!
Lil Red's birthday is coming up and he'll be 9. Wow! Where did that time go? His birthday party is coming up this coming Sunday. I'm not real sure what kind of party he wants. Hmmm, have to ask so he'll have a cake! :-)
Been trying to get my Christmas stuff up this weekend. My tree is up but not finished. So far I like it and I would get some pics but my father is holding my camara hostage until I bring him back his sunglasses. Meant to stop by there earlier but forgot. Oops! :-) I decided to go with a turquoise, silver, purple, and gold color scheme this year. The bulk of my ornaments are going on the kids' trees they have in their rooms.
When I get my camara back I'll post pics! :-)
Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!

Five years ago today:

I had one of the most wonderful and scary events in my life happen. My beautiful little girl was born. I had an ob appt on the 17th and was told that everything was fine and we were waiting till she was ready to be born. That is, until I told the doctor that I hadn't felt her move all day. Hen then told me to go home, pack, and be at the hospital at 5pm for an induction. After they started the induction, I labored all night, and at 8:14am on November 18th my angel had arrived.

They saw the reason that she had not been moving. The cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times and was tied into a huge knot. She came out with her lips blue and the doctor said that it was lucky we went ahead with the induction. It was very likely I would have lost her if we didn't. I saw her for the first time, the color was coming back and I thanked God that she was alright. She is my miracle baby and I can't imagine her not being here for one second.

So happy birthday Baby girl! I'm sooooo proud of you and love you very much! :)
When my last computer died it took with it one of my fav pics of her as a baby. :( But these were taken this summer. I can't believe my baby is 5!

2 posts of picture updates!

So many pictures to post I had to post two blog posts!

Well, my dental work went well. Went in on a Thursday and don't remember anything solid till Sunday! My sister said that I was in a lot of pain and pretty much out of it. I'm just so happy that I can smile without worry again! Yay! :-) No more painful toothaches that keep me up all night and no more eating loaves of bread at a time just to keep from taking a pain killer. Here's a pic of me with my new smile:

Do you know what happens when your child does this:

She gets sent to time out in her room, has to clean it and stay in there. When I went to check on her this is how I found her (she fell asleep):

My husband started a bowfishing team. They have a few sponsors and have been doing some tournaments. This is their first team photo (my husband is on the far left):

On Halloween our football team had their jamboree. We weren't even sure if our kids would be able to Trick or Treat. Little Red's team played at 8am. They lost however my neice had a cheer comp at 2 which started almost 2 hours late. Her team won the spirit award and 2nd place overall for their age group. Yay!!! :-) I am so proud of her. She is usually a very shy and quiet person but she completely changes when she's out there cheering. I just love watching her! Unfortunately or maybe fortunately however you want to look at it, she only had an hour to Trick or Treat. She had to go around in her uniform.

The others got to start almost on time and here's their picture:

Little Red ~ Army Commando
Neice ~ Cheerleader ( I think) she's wearing the exact uniform that I wore in 6th grade when I danced drill team. My mom saved it all, even the gloves! :-)
Baby Girl ~ Sweetheart Bat

I made these cupcakes for my mom. She needed them for a Cupcake Walk that her town was doing for Halloween. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Every year my Father-in-Law comes down and we carve pumpkins. We always have fun and he just loves helping the kids with theirs. This is the first year that Baby Girl got into from start to finish. :-)

My father in law's

Mine

She was fascinated with the "guts" lol

Do you think anyone in this picture could deny being related to eachother?

All our pumpkins but mine outside. That huge came from my Mother in law and step father in law's garden. They were huge!!! Almost as tall as baby girl! :-)
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Thanksgiving only next week and I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! :-)

Updating....Slowly but Surely

I'm really bad at blogging or at the very least, sporadic. I'm going to have to split all my pics into 2 posts. There's so many new pics.
I can't find my Photoshop Elements CD. :( There's a really good pic that I would love to post but it does have kids last names on it and that's just way too much info than I'm willing to post online. I'll find it eventually I'm sure and I'll post it then! :-) Still trying to remember how I black M's eyes in the homecoming pics.
Anyway, the football league had their award/banquet a few weeks ago. Had hamburgers and hotdogs to eat and lots of bouncy things to play on. Fun day Baby girl was out within 5 mins being home. I swear, looked downed and she's snoring. hehehe Here are some pics:

My best friend's son had a birthday in October and he wanted a race car for a cake, so this is what I came up with:

Oh and here's the final result from the renovation. I haven't completely finished the hallway yet. I still have to paint horizontal lines above the chair rails. I'm thinking about doing 2 of them maybe 3. I'm not sure yet.
