Can ONE thing ever stay right?

This house is really and truly pissing me off! The previous owners changed a lot of stuff right before they put it on the market. Well, we're finding out how much we got SCREWED when we bought this one. Uggggg. Let me know if you think this is normal...the summer before we bought it (which was 5 1/2 yrs ago) they put a new roof on it. Well, last summer we had to replace the ENTIRE roof because of water leaks and it was just in such poor condition.

They replaced plumbing. My dishwasher leaks sometimes. The way they fixed the plumbing in the kitchen, you can't even tell there is a clog in the food disposer. Well, until you run the dishwasher and wake up the next morning and see water on the kitchen floor. The toilet starting leaking so the floor was wet. When we fixed the leak we realized it was doing it more than we realized (the floor was carpeted). We had to reinforce the floor before we ended up in the basement. The cold water in Bathroom sink started leaking as well. Hubby had to turn off the cold water so that left us with only hot water to do daily stuff and you just hoped you washed your hands quick enough before you got burned. And just in case you're wondering our son used the tub to wash his hands. It was closer for him to reach anyway and I didn't want him to burn his hands. Then we had a 2 finger sized hole in one of the pipes under that sink so we couldn't use it for awhile. Hubby was working a LOT so he didn't have time to get to it right away.

Oh I forgot to mention the piece of drywall (or whatever that stuff is called) fell from the ceiling in one of the rooms right after we moved in. A huge storm we had helped with that though.

And just last night we found ANOTHER water leak in the basement. I'm so sick of things going wrong in this house. Especially if they were "new" when we bought the house. Man, we got so SCREWED!!!!! At least this new leak will be no big deal to fix although I have to wait until Monday till the hardware store opens to get a new line. This one goes to our refrigderator.

I know that life is hard but why oh why can't we just cut a break. We're working to pay off our debt. It's getting a lot better so thank God, but it just seems that as soon as something goes right something bad happens.

I guess the only thing to do is make lemonade out of all the lemons that have been thrown at us!

I still want to build though....

Pretty day!

We hit 70 degrees today! Warm enough to go outside with the kiddos. We took Jeremy to work then stopped and got Christian's belt and socks for his baseball game. Came home and decided that we would go outside with chalk! Yeah, a 1 yr old with chalk is probably not the best idea in the world! lol Everytime I turned my eyes for just a sec she put the chalk back in her mouth. I had my camara out with me so I can show pics...

Caitlyn...not sure what she was pointing at.

(The fence behind her is our neighbors and was damaged by wind in a recent severe thunderstorm we had. Came out the next morning and that section was blown over.)

She likes being outside...

Here is my son playing...

He's my resident Spiderman. He is growing so fast! Where does the time go?

Some of their artwork...

Not sure what this is supposed to be. lol

I also took pics of my flowers while I was out there...

One of my new hanging flowers...

My other hanging flower...

Close up of the flowers in the hanging basket....

Today has been a wonderful day except for this morning. Jeremy was in such a mood. I'm glad by the time we were on the way to his work he calmed down. We even talked about how we're getting our house ready to sell. We need the room and we also need the yard space. I think he might even be open to building which would tickle me. I told him that if we were going to buy another house then I wanted to build so that I got what I wanted and didn't have to settle on something. He understood so maybe we can start saving now so that when it is time to move/buy/build/whatever we can put up a big downpayment. At least I hope. I will leave this for now with one last picture.

Thanks Carrie for your help!

Just wanted to say thanks to you and you are awesome!

:)

I don't have to get him...

Yay! His dad is bringing him home. This means I don't have to get kids out and wake them up. Which also means I can get ready for bed and lie down and relax.

I think I know why I'm so ready for bed...

I think I'm running a fever which would explain why I'm so ready for bed. I've been sneezing, freezing, and all the other yucky stuff that comes with it.

I watched Ghost Hunters tonight and for some reason this time it really freaked me out. Hmmmm.... Not sure why because it's never done that. I turned it over to nick at nite so I could get the heebeejeevies (lol is that a word) away!

Have a nice night!

I'm so ready for bed...

Maybe I'm writing to myself but I don't care. I woke up a little late this morning so hubby wasn't in a good mood even though he could have woken up when the alarm went off. Oh well, the only kicker is that I have to drive almost an hr to pick him up from work. His car is in the shop and his truck is going down hill quick. I hate this. We have 4 vehicles and only 1 of them is a reliable mode of transporation. Well, his truck works but with gas prices it would be very irresponsible to let him drive it back and forth to work. Before we bought his 'new' used work car he drove his truck for an entire month and our gasoline bill was about $600. So I took him to work today. Yay for me....it's ok though. Even driving double what he would do, I still wouldn't need to stop for gas as much.

After we got back into our county we decided to stop at my grandmother's house. Well, I ended up staying there most of the night, bought me a couple of beautiful flowers in hanging pots.

All in all a good day I just wish I didn't have to go out again but hey, it's only til his car gets fixed!

Have fun!

So, this is my first time so I'll introduce...

myself. I just turned 25 a week ago. I am married to a hard working man and we have 2 children. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay home with them. My family is the most important things in my life.

I guess mostly what I'll be blogging about is just the little things that make me go "hmmmm" or about my kids.

I am scrapbooking, well I guess you could say that. I have completed 3 layouts so far. So, yeah, I'm fairly new to the whole thing. I just ordered a tape runner last night. At least I think that's what it's called. Oh well, I'll be exicted when it gets here because all I can use right now is glue if I'm not with my family who scrapbook.

I'm hoping it warms up soon so I can get outside with the kids more often but like tonight at our son's ball practice we were freezing.

I'll think of things later. Bye!
