Carving the Pumpkins

Before last year I had never carved a pumpkin. When my FIL heard this he decided it was time to start a tradition. So he bought pumpkins and spent an afternoon carving away.
It continues with this year. FIL bought 8 pumpkins and brought them to the house today. We carved four of them. I got a few pics of Lil' Red working on his but unfortunately didn't get any of him actually carving. Oops on my part. I'm hoping the pics of him working will be alright. Enjoy!
Baby Girl decided she wanted to sleep more than she wanted to mess with a messy pumpkin. ;) haha

Dig! Dig! Dig!
"Mom, my hand hurts!"
Hubby got into it too:

Lil' Red had a great time. We still have four more to go so I think it might be something to do with my neices too. Unfortunately I'm going to be a little selfish and ask my sister to buy their own pumpkins. There's another pattern I want to do. :)

In other news: I rented Transformers. The new movie. I thought it was great. Loved all the action and special effects were awesome! Must see if you have a sense of humor like mine! :) On the other hand, Hubby watched the series back in the 80's and he didn't like the movie. He said that things were too messed up for him and it couldn't keep his attention.

Also rented Evan Almighty. It was ok. I thought Bruce Almighty was better. Don't get me wrong I laughed in parts but not as much as with the first one.

Went to Haunted Houses last night. Talk about FUN!!! The one that had Jigsaw really disappointed me. If I blinked I would have missed it. The cool thing about these now was some parts were 3D. They gave you glasses and it would so freak you out! Especially the room with all the big circles and then one of the circles would come out at you and scream! I was kind of buzzing so it seemed cooler I guess to me or maybe that took it all away. I don't know but I had a blast! The best one we went to was in the basement of an old courthouse. Part of the floor was uneven dirt. It was so creepy. There were exposed gas and water lines everywhere and you really had to watch your head plus your feet. I was only chased a couple of three times. There was a group of girls in front of us and one of them would say "Hi!" to them as she went by. They already knew they were seen by the closest ones behind them. Bummer. She took some of that away from the experience.

What do you think? Would it bug you that someone would do that? If you payed $20 to get in (of course that was a combo ticket), would you be upset?

My friend was upset about it at the time and looking back I'm bumming about it too. At any rate we had a good dinner, got scared an awful lot, and went to the casino. I wasn't ready to go home! haha

Not a whole lot going on...

so I'll just ramble. hehe Watched Fantastic 4: The Rise of the Silver Surfer today. I give it an ok. I think the first was better.

I'm getting excited going to go to Haunted Houses Sat with my best friend. We're going to one where they'll have Jigsaw. I'm just curious how they're going to do that. :) We shall see and come Sunday or Monday I should have some funny stories! Cause everyone knows that I'm going to be scared to death. ;)

Fall Break and a Birthday...

As I said last week the kids were out on Fall Break. THEY ARE NOW BACK!!! :) I'm glad. I had all four of them all week. Now I'm down to baby girl. Who's taking her socks off thinking she's being all sly. haha

Anyway, spent the week playing with them. Sat was Jeff's little boy's birthday. I made his cake too. Used an old Wilton Superman Pan and converted it into a Spiderman cake. Here are some pics:

My youngest neice. Her eyes. I kept telling her that we needed to get her devil horns on. lol

We had a sleepover Friday night, got up Sat morning baked the cake and decorated all day, went to the party then dropped kids off with Nana, went to a friends' house for a little party. We didn't get home until 3:30am. I'm soooooo tired today. lol
Well, time to put baby girl down for a nap. :)

Sunday posting...

I'm feeling a little sad a frustrated right now. Usually I am able to move the thought out of my mind but not at the moment.

I saw a topic on TwoPeas that was talking about church. The poster wanted to know if you went to church while you were single. Well, I didn't but that's not what got me bummed. A little into the thread someone wondered how many women went without their husbands.

I am one of those women. I absolutely hate it!! I know I can't change him but it would be nice to show a united front in this area. It's aggravating. I'm not even sure why it bugs me so much anymore but it does.

I love going. It's a huge part of my life and I feel like he's choosing not to be a part of that. He won't come eat with us on Weds. nights. All the other stuff that happens for it he won't go. He said that he'll come and watch me sing when I have to do my solo so I guess that's something. I can't help but feeling I want something more.

I feel more like I'm changing and he's not changing with me, worse yet, in a totally different direction.

There's been some stuff happen lately that have got me thinking again and I'm wondering if now is a good time to let it go and let the chips fall where they may.

Sorry for the bitch session. Just coming off being sick. Still don't feel all that well.

On a brighter note, my friend had her baby!! I hear she's beautiful! I haven't had a chance to see her yet because of the illness but I will soon! :)

Oh, and a side note, please pray for me this week. School's out for Fall Break and I'm going to have all of them, all week, all day. Let's Rock!
